Whats up with elbowfans? I can't log in anymore and I seem to have disappeared off the home page and groups I was in?
I know it was working recently cos I mentioned the site to Neonchoir and torkidlx to join, and saw they both had.

Mmm, yes I couldn't access the archive in there today either, was going to try again tomorrow...

Hi, Jones, when you log in can try can you see if I'm even on there?...maybe its my computer? when I logged in recently just some of the stuff I'd added was there, but now I can only see half the conversations with members...like their post, but not mine.

Edit day later....Well weird.
I've now reappeared on the members list today, but when I try to log in, with same username and password as ever...used about 5 days ago, says :

For those who've been having difficulties with the elbowfans site:

Why?
I've had problems with spam & troll attacks, so have had to tighten-up the security on the site which has been in place for some time now. The main software which drives the site is due another major upgrade soon which should - *fingers crossed* - allow a little easing up of that, but for now this is how it works:

Signing up
If you'd like to sign up, please PM me on here with your preferred username and the email address you use so I can register you. You'll get an initial password which you can then change on your profile page. In future I hope to enable self-registration again, but it's not possible right now.

Login Problems
If you are a member and you can't log in, go to http://elbowfans.org/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword.

If you can login to the main site, but not access the Archive & Media sections (members only), please use the SEPERATE generic password for those. Your main personal password doesn't work for those.

If you haven't had problems before, but can't logon on a particular day - or the site is v e r y s l o w - it may be me doing maintenance. Please try later.

For any other glitches on the site that I haven't covered here, PM me.

(At some point in the future I'll look at revamping the site completely to make it easier to use, but not for the foreseeable due to work & study commitments.)

A reminder for anyone else who's not logged in lately, but who did sign up when the site became elbowfans.org, please remember you need your username & personal password to login, then there's ALSO a generic password - same for everyone - to view the members-only content, which it will ask you to type in when you look at the Media & Archive sections.

For anyone else who was a member on the old Ning version of the site who hasn't checked out the new one but wants to, you'll need to visit http://elbowfans.org/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword. and reset your password as it's a completely different site. I then need to add you onto our members-only list - quick and painless - and away you go.
