New Elbow Fansite/Social Network Plug

Subject: New Elbow Fansite/Social Network Plug Sun 22 Mar 2009, 16:43

MT suggested this a while back when I started to gather a collection of video clips of the band's appearances, so finally it's up and running; a dedicated mini social network site called elbowfans.ning.com.

Just like MySpace, Facebook etc, there's shared photos & vids plus member pages, links, event news, chat space and a mini-forum plus capacity to set up your own groups, blog and other such goodies. There's also live RSS updates for news from the official band site & MoBlog.

It's early days so if you have time to check it out I'd value your feedback and ideas. All welcome to join in - it won't be much fun without you! Very Happy

I continue to be dumbfounded about what a close-knit and supportive bunch the Elbow fans are... on both the forum and MrsWomsn's new site - especially of each other, . It's .. well, nice. (and it had to be said)!!

Mrswoman made a lovely wallpaper to share in celebration, in the early hours of Mark's birthday yesterday, over on her site.
I might be teaching my grandmother to suck eggs here... but new (and old) stuff is still being added at a sedate pace, every so often. So as to not miss, suscribe to the Feed which is updating any activity. I didn't do, to start with but its easier. Then if you don't have time to log in and look about you can still keep up to date with what Elbow goodies are going there and maybe even be inspired to contribute yourself Smile

Its not running as a hot discussion forum like here, but more as Elbowies very own exclusive Elbow facebook/youtube, with extras, like helpful links for planning the next Elbow gig etc.

We've had good things contributed so far in the first month, as I can remember, from Nellie, ChrissieinFl, Bright Grey, TL , ukkonen...

who have I missed from here?
