Guy Garvey examines the Leonard Cohen classic Hallelujah by talking to the artists who have covered it.

Sounds interesting

Joe

Jeff Buckley's is still my favourite version, and Kathryn Williams when she sang it at the Love from Manchester concert at the Apollo in 2005.

Great song. Great programme.

If they haven't already, I'd love to hear an Elbow version; with a 'Tower Crane' type of arrangement.

id prefer a 'were away' arrangement - simple and stripped down

Yea, Elbow could really do their own rendition of "Hallelujah", with Guy's lovely voice it just can't go wrong!

Interesting show it was, I did not know that there were so much people covering the song. Shocked

I've just seen this (thankfully not too late for the Listen Again), thanks for the link. Smile A wonderful song; I love Leonard Cohen, and this programme gives some great insights all round. I was thinking all the time while listening to people talking about their interpretations, how much I'd like to hear Elbow doing this as well, despite what Guy says at the end of the programme.
