| Found a youtube of Laura Marling at Eindhoven. Good performance, but you can really hear the chatting. Sounds like a pub performance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewuZc_ta2jA& |

| Went to see Laura at The Lowry last night.
Excellent gig. She did most of "I Speak Because I Can" and a good selection from "Alas I Cannot Swim* plus a cover version of Neil Young's "Needle And The Damage Done" which she messed up but got away with a charming smile and a "Sorry but you get the idea"
Good support from "Boy And Bear" (Like an Australian Mumford) and Allesi's Ark made it an excellent night all round.
Not sure why people don't come in and watch the support bands at gigs these days. I can understand it if you're struggling to get there in time but the people who were stood outside in the foyer having a chat until Laura came on at 9.30 missed a couple of good acts. (And the foyer at The Lowry is a purple and orange nightmare) |
