| The song she played on the Mercury show gave me a right buzz, so I got her album. Still loving that song, Night Terror... wicked. I'm with you leo, she has great style. |

| Luckily, I'm living in Holland, which is great for this concert! I'm a big fan of Laura and Elbow, so I'm massively looking forward to it. Anyone else going? |

Well, it was great, but I'm almost certainly not going to see them for another year or more, so don't be too jealous! But yeah, it was great. Theres a youtube video of leaders of the free world already up, just search 'elbow eindhoven'. I made a thread about it in Elbow Patch too, to try and find if anyone else went there. Hopefully someone took a video of Laura, but the crowd wasn't that enthusiastic about her. The first 3-4 rows were loving it, but the rest were chatting really loudly. . But oh well. She's not as famous, so I guess that's why... |

| It might be a dutch thing, at least thats what I found when I've been to other concerts here. Also, Laura is quite different from Elbow in quite a few respects, which probably didn't help.
What was impressive though was how she playedl the songs with just one bloke, Marcus, who alternated between a greatly simplified drum kit, an accordion and a ukelele. At one point he was playing the bass drum with his foot, shaking a little egg thing with one hand (percussion, not sure what its called) and playing the accordion with the other hand. During My Manic And I, I believe. Very skillful! |
