She was Itunes single of the week not so long ago. Didnt like the single they offered so much, but some of her other stuff sounds alright.

Half way through her album... I'm actually loving it. For the first half of the first song I was thinking 'neh, okay, okay...' then suddenly it changed and got all 'heavy' and down... it was brilliant! Really good! Very much looking forward to seeing her alongside everybody's favourite now EDIT: I posted it in my blog if anyone wants =]

My friends and I are all absolutely in love with Jesca now! Just as excited to see her as Elbow on the 18th. But yeah, Jesca has a new acoustic album out today. And it has a new song on it featuring... Guy Garvey! Ohh yes!

I did my best to get to the gig early enough to see Jesca's set. Only managed to catch the last couple of songs but what I heard I liked.

I've loved her since I heard Havoc in Heaven on Guy's radio show, then the album. I was really pleased to see she's supporting this tour. Thanks Jonny for alerting me to the new album. This is happening to me a lot recently, artists I like sneaking out new albums without me knowing. Not good. Must track this one down...

For anyone else who loved Jesca's set, there are some nice, reasonable quality live recordings (with songs not on Kismet or the EP) here.

Hey guys, I had Jesca's album before I knew of the duet with Guy. Very nice album. I've been looking for the EP, and I didn't see it available at amazon. I don't use iTunes. Does anyone have the duet with Guy to share?

I also discovered Jesca Hoop on Guy's show and I absolutely adore her. And her duet with Guy, "Murder of Birds" is so beautiful. I loved watching them perform it together. Jesca said on her Myspace page that the Elbow tour was her favorite tour yet and she was so sad to leave. I wish the audiences had been more attentive though. It was shocking and I was embarrassed for them. Especially, I am sad to say, at the second Manchester Apollo show. Appallingly rude. How would they feel, up there alone, trying to perform to 5000 noisy punters who aren't even pretending to listen? Shameful. But she held her own like a champ and I loved her set.
