Definitely going to either of the Manchester dates - ticket price steep though !

Got one for the Friday.

Won't be happening mate ; I read somewhere that it'll be solo songs and covers. Now I've grown to really like the record, I'm cool with that.

setlist.fm reckons so far the two euro gigs have been...

Three Bells
Angela's Eyes
Courting the Squall
Harder Edges
Unwind
Juggernaut
Yesterday
Electricity
Just Cos I'm Dead (Peter Jobson cover)
Holiday (Peter Jobson cover)
Belly of the Whale
Broken Bottle And Chandeliers

Encore:
I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire (The Ink Spots cover)
Angela's Eyes

but Angela's Eyes twice?

...add an Elbow song in the middle! No spoilers though! Let's hope GG remembers the words tonight, although he did get a lot of help from the front row.

I was there on the first Manchester night ; a good and attentive crowd were present. Three Bells, probably my least favourite of the new record, kicked things off and from then on, things took off beautifully. Guy presented the band (cringefully getting the crowd to repeat what he asked) and I was thinking here we go again - not barb! tour OTT banter ! I was wrong, he was in wonderful form - picking out Craig in the corwd as we all wished him a Happy Birthday.

The songs were just beautiful, they really were, and his band, despite messing up a few times and restarting, like Guy...excellent.

Guy's voice just gets better and better, it was faultless - then Mark came on for 'Switching Off' and I was a goner ; tender, pitch perfect and we were all spellbound.

To have seen Hawley and Garvey in such a fantasic venue ; all within weeks, well it felt such a privilege.
