Surely The Stops is saved because it is one of the best?! |

| The Everthere should be nowhere near this list! Just my opinion like... |

| I think "least good" would be more appropriate. I never liked the sound of "Not a Job" on COT, it just sounds too MOR somehow (although it was a fun video ), but then they released an acoustic version on one of the B-sides and I realised there was a lovely song hiding in there. I still think Audience With the Pope is too corny (perhaps I'm just missing something...) Apart from that, they don't do "worst songs", hehe. |

| Agree with "The Everthere", never really got that song.
Also not keen on "Weather to Fly", my least favorite on TSSK, though lyrically it's amazing, the melody leaves me a little flat.
Also agree with "Not A Job", sounds a bit like a B-side to me.
However I'd listen to all of these on a continuous loop if it meant I never had to hear The Fratellis again. _________________ "If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe. " Carl Sagan Administrator

| There's only one song from elbow I'm not a fan of - Grace Under Pressure.
Audience with the Pope is a good giggle. Admitedly not one of their best but hardly crap. An Imagined Affair and The Everthere are beautiful. The Stops is brilliant. One of their best. |

| It's amazing to me how one song will move one person, while leaving another flat.
We all hear and feel them so differently. |

| Audience with the pope. It was ok after a couple of listens, but now it just sucks. I skip it. _________________ Fear my Epic posts! Moderator

That's fighting talk where I come from!!!!11 *implodes*
The Stops is just lovely - particularly from the middle 8 to when Guy sings "if you need me to REMIND me who you are" and his voice goes up an octave on "remind". And The Everthere is lyrically one of the best songs they've written. An Imagined Affair sort of washed over me the first couple of times (a bit like Weather to Fly), but again, great lyrics.
Have to say, although LOTFW is still my favourite album, that I'm not too keen on the title track - lyrically very clever and all that, but musically it's the same four chords over and over again for the most part, and it's about two minutes too long, so I tend to skip it.
Some of the tracks off AITB I can take or leave... I'm not a big fan of Red or the title track.
I'm still ambivalent towards 'One Day Like This' as well, it sounds great on the radio (despite the fact they've edited out the third verse) but I still think it sounds more like Embrace than Elbow.
I suppose their 'worst' track is 'Kisses' (the B-side which is the band playing and some bloke waffling on about socialism over the top), I never got the point of that track really |

| Have to agree with Lee's opinion on the LOTFW tracks. I can't have a bad word about them.
Like others Grace Under Pressure is mildly disagreeable, The Fix, although different and good stand alone doesn't sit with the rest of the album for me. Don't mix your drinks, a b-side for me too.
I feel ashamed now, criticising my beloved Elbow. |

| Why all the hate for Grace Under Pressure anyway? Those drums! That chorus! Way better than One Day Like This, im(not so)ho. |

| It's funny, I imagine I wouldn't like GUP as much if it were not for the drums...
One for the band to avoid acoustically I reckon. _________________ "If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe. " Carl Sagan Administrator
