| I came across a Finnish festival - Ruisrock, Turku Finland - announcing Elbow's show there in 9th of July. However, the gig isn't mentioned on Elbow's home page, methinks. Does anyone know if they actually are playing in Ruisrock? I'd hate to buy a 70-euro-ticket just to see some Finnish nu-reggae band in the end... no offence to Finnish nu-reggae fans.  And, I am new here, though having loved Elbow for many, many moons.. |

| I was wondering exactly the same! To me Elbow is the only reason going to Ruisrock, so I have to be sure they are coming. And I really wish they are. |

| Yes they are playing in Finland, it's on the official Facebook page..........
Elbow have confirmed appearances at two more of Europe's top festivals.
This July the band head to Switzerland's Open Air Festival in St. Gallen and Finland's Ruisrock.

| Yeah, got the newsletter on the shows as well today.. thanks!! Funnily enough, decided to quit smoking, came this day of Elbow playing in Finland, sooo... they may have rescued me from a slow and painful death.  |

| Ha!! My last attempt (in 2004) was anything but successful, I need all the luck I can get.. should start with the patches on Friday, we'll see... one day at a time, eh?  |

| Sadly, my budget is minimal and those things seem rather costly IMO.. patches, gum and will power it'll be!
Doing this so I can afford seeing Elbow in July!! Hence the will power, otherwise, I was aiming for 15 good years of smoking, had one to go.. ha! |

Lol you mad thing, go for it, your young and you want to quit which is the main thing. It aint easy but it gets easier as the weeks go bye |

| How was Ruisrock btw? I saw Garvey's tweet about awesome Finnish fans, he was truly impressed My biggest gig dream for now is to see Elbow performing a proper solo gig in Helsinki. It would be more than perfect *____* I hope our Elboys will return in Finland after this successful festival appearance like The National did after their sold-out gigs in Helsinki earlier |

| It was great, some man came up to me and said it was the best gig in Ruisrock, and I couldn't but agree. Nice set list, though they did not play any songs from their first album, I think. Guy was very chatty, and I am fairly certain all of us loved him! |
