Hi,

I'm a Stockport based musician and I have a new piece of music inspired by Elbow. I thought I'd throw it into the lion's den to see what you make of it.

I would love any feedback (good or bad). It would be really useful.

I hope you like it, it is rather chilled! Please click on the link below. The piece is called 'Something Borrowed'.

Thanks and Love

Wow. I quite like this! I could hear a bit of Elbow sound in there, particularly at the beginning. The electronic stuff takes away from that, but that's OK. I really like the combination of folk and ambient. The banjo fits in surprisingly well with the rest of it.

Is all your stuff like this?

That is really nice of you to say so, thank you very much.

Not all of my stuff is like that. But this is something I really liked and could see myself doing more of in this area.

I don't want to become an Elbow clone or anything like that. But I definitely had them in mind when I did this track.

There are other tracks if you go back to the link and look at my profile, but I'd say the majority of these are quite dramatically different....for now!

Cheers

Paulo

The combination of banjo and piano works really well here. Smile
