Elbow false alarm (which nearly gave me a heart attack)

So, Mr. Chrissie is currently in Scotland visiting his dad, and 10 minutes ago he sends me the following text message:

"Elbow playing in Asda"

So of course I'm all affraid

and I text him back to ask him WTF he is talking about...have Elbow decided to generate some interest in their upcoming album by making a surprise live appearance at an Asda shop somewhere??

He doesn't text back right away. A couple minutes pass, then a couple more. And I begin frantically searching the web for news of such a glorious event, and I come here to ERO to see if anyone here knows anything, and everywhere I look I find nothing. Now I'm getting mental, because I am imagining the Elboys cranking out brand-new material for the lucky evening shoppers at Asda, pushing their trolleys round and finding one of Britain's finest bands set up in an aisle somewhere between the Fairy Luquid and the Pot Noodles. And I'm missing EVERYTHING!!!!

I text him again, begging for details, and a few seconds later the reply comes:

"just the background music my dear, One Day Like This is on the store PA system"

*face palm*

Now if you'll all excuse me, I need to take an aspirin and some very deep breaths...

Ha ha! The idea of the Elboys playing in Asda! Now that would be a turn up for the boks. Laughing

Now how special would THAT be??? Seriously, I felt a right dipstick for thinking they'd actually be doing a show at an Asda. Then again, I have no idea why Mr. Chrissie felt the need to text me from across the Atlantic to let me know that Elbow had come on the store radio, and it genuinely didn't occur to me that he had done just that, so there you go.
